Father's Day Weekend

Over Father's Day weekend we headed to Des Moines and stayed plenty busy.  Friday we went to dinner with some family friends and Kane got to see his first horse race (don't worry, no bets were placed!).  Saturday he got his 2nd haircut and then got to go to the zoo for the first time with Aunt Claire and Grandma Joni in tow.  Finally, Sunday he got to spend some time at the park with Grandpa Don!  Needless to say, Kane was a tired little boy by the time we got home!  Here are some pictures from our busy weekend.

How far along?  20 weeks and 2 days
Total weight gain/loss?  Around 8 lbs
Maternity clothes?  Not yet
Stretch marks? Not yet
Sleep?  Still sleeping ok except for waking up to pee
Best moment last week? Kane patting and kissing my tummy, telling the baby night night 
Movement?  Starting to feel it more and more, especially after I eat.  Very cool feeling!
Food cravings? I did cure my sushi craving and it was SO good!  Otherwise, no big or unusual cravings lately.  I have noticed I crave more sweets than usual (root beer floats, strawberry lemonade).  
Gender? Will have to wait one more week to spill the beans!
Labor signs? No
Belly button in/out? In
What I miss: I still miss the occasional glass of wine, especially on these nice spring/summer days!
What I am looking forward to: I actually am looking forward to a little bigger belly so people don't have to wonder whether I'm pregnant or just gaining a few pounds.
Milestones: I have reached the half way mark.  It seems like it's going by so quickly!  October will be here before we know it!

Gender? still all man, well sometimes...Lauren and Kane soften me up quite a bit.
Labor Signs? oof, too much cheese one day last week so yea.

What I miss? being able to dunk a basketball.
What I am looking forward to? The new little one....and each day with mamma and big K!

Everything is going well with Kane.  He seems like he is starting to understand that there is a baby in mommy's tummy but not sure he realizes that there will actually be one here in a few months!  We are enjoying our days/evenings outside.  He loves helping me water my plants and has his own little mower to push through the lawn like daddy.  He seems to like the water more than he did last year, so we are looking forward to spending some time at the pool this summer.  We are going to try to make it to the zoo this year as well as the fair.  It seems like our weekends are filling up quickly, so we are enjoying all of the time we have together before we are busy with another little one.  Kane turns 2 in 7 days!  We are having a party for him next weekend so we are all excited for that and we can't believe how fast time has gone!  He has become such a little man!  I'll let the pictures tell you what he's like.....
