Our baby girl is 3 months old today! It seems like she's getting bigger every day! I am back at work now so both kids go to daycare. Nothing was different for Kane but Landry has had to get used to being woken up early and spending the day with other babies. She hasn't been napping the best at daycare but is continuing to sleep well at night so hopefully she gets used to the change and starts taking some better naps. She has really started to discover her hands and has even been caught sucking her thumb! She is full of smiles (which are nearly impossible ti catch on camera) and LOVES to watch everything her big brother does. She is finding her voice as well and can be a little chatterbox. She is getting stronger and can hold her head up pretty well, but hasn't really shown interest in rolling over yet. She is a very good baby and Kane just loves her!
Kane is on the go all the time. We had the Rhoten Christmas last weekend and he was a little daredevil when it came to sledding. He absolutely loved it! That is, up until he face planted in the snow...then he had enough. We are sort of trying to work on potty training, but we haven't been very strict about it yet as he hasn't shown much interest. We'll get there though! Hopefully sooner rather than later! He has been great with Landry and likes to tell me when she's hungry. He is also very helpful when we ask him to get things like diapers or her paci. He can definitely be a little stinker at times, but what 2 year old isn't?!
I have started back to work, so I have been trying to get used to the new routine. Getting up early wasn't too terrible, but I'm sure it will get old very fast! I am also working on trying to get back into shape by running again. I got a new pair of running shoes for Christmas and I signed up for two 5Ks so far, so that should keep me motivated. Cory has also signed up for those 5Ks, but one of them might not work out for him as he is having a cervical spinal fusion surgery next week. He has had some nagging neck, shoulder and arm pain for the past 12 years from an old injury and the chiropractor just wasn't cutting it anymore. So he will be out of commission for a fews week. Work has been going well for Cory and he just got back from a week long industry training trip in Indianapolis. Of course this had to fall on my first week back to work, but both Grandmas came to help me with the kids while I got used to my new schedule. Thanks Joni and Pat!
I'm doing my best to try to keep this blog updated so bear with me and enjoy the pictures!
