I'm a little bit behind on this post because our little man keeps us on our toes! He is constantly on the move, only stopping to eat, drink or throw something. Our living room full of toys is apparently very boring, he always wants to go outside (don't say that word around him, or be prepared!) or anywhere else BUT the living room! He has quite the personality and will let us know right away when he is not a fan of something. He LOVES his puppy Roxy, especially throwing all of his food at her. I decided to buy her some Weight Control dog food since she's frequently eating Kane's meals instead of her own.
Kane has been staying fairly healthy throughout the summer aside from the ongoing ear infections but hopefully that will all be resolved tomorrow when he gets tubes in his ears. We will keep you all posted on how that goes. Mom and Dad aren't nervous yet, but I'm sure we will be come 7am! We have heard from many people that it will help tremendously. The Dr even said he may become louder....FANTASTIC! (He already has quite a high pitched scream...I listened to it about halfway through our drive from Des Moines to Carroll the other day!). To say the boy doesn't like being in his car seat for too long is an understatement!
Besides being an active little thing, Kane is still a little chatterbox. He is learning more words and even a few signs (all done and more). He can point to a few body parts when asked (ears, nose, tummy, belly button) and of course still loves BALLS. He kicks them, throws them, attempts to hit them with his golf clubs and especially likes watching them roll down the stairs.
He definitely keeps us entertained and is such a little comedian. We can't imagine life without him! Here are some pictures of our little stinker........
P.S. We took Kane to the Iowa State Fair this year. He loved watching all the people (the best part of the fair!) but didn't really care much for the animals. When a sheep decided to start chewing on his stroller he started crying! However, he wasn't scared of the giant Herky! What a good little Hawkeye! =)

Watching my favorite show Wipeout with Dad
(this is the only show he will sit still for...weird, I know!)

He LOVES sweet corn!

DAAAAAAAAD!

SO COOL!

I'm not so sure about this fair thing...

But I do love this tenderloin!

John Deere hat

Go Hawks!

I would not touch that thing!

Look what I figured out...

...and apparently they never grow out of it!

(this is a picture of the stage from the Heart/Def Leppard concert
I went to at the fair and I just happened to catch the guy in the orange in the act!)

Fun with sour kraut!
