I start going in weekly for appointments now and next week I will have to go in on Wednesday instead of Friday as Dr. is going to be out of town for a few days. He told me I won't have the baby while he's gone. Hopefully he's right otherwise this baby may just come on MY birthday....wouldn't that be fun?!?! I'd be 27 forever because I would never have another birthday again! HA! I also have to have a weekly non stress test done until baby is born. Nothing big really, just precaution being taken because of my medical history. Basically I sit there with monitors on my belly that check baby's heart rate activity. Yesterday's test turned out just fine. It was actually quite humorous to listen to the changes in his heart rate and watch him move around and kick the monitors. He definitely doesn't like being squished, pushed, poked...kinda like mommy! ;)
Everything else has been going great. I can definitely tell there are more awake/active and more quiet/sleepy times with his movement. It's more squirming now, but every once and a while he'll give me a good jab in the ribs or bladder. It's fun trying to figure out what body part he's trying to move. As of now he's still head down too so I'm very happy about that. My lovely ankles have started to get puffy now. I am up on my feet all day so by the time I'm done with work I look like I have sprained ankles but they usually go down by the end of the night. I have heartburn a little more frequently now and I definitely can't eat as much as I could a few weeks ago but that's probably a good thing!
Everyone has been making their wagers on birth date, weight, length, name and hair so those are always fun and interesting to hear. It's been really fun keeping the name a secret and I must say I'm pretty impressed with myself for keeping it this long since I am a horrible liar and I can't always keep secrets very well...but this time it's been amusing! =) We have pretty much everything ready to go for the little man when he gets here. His room is all decorated and ready to go except for a few things that need to be taken out and even the hospital bags are packed (partially). Cory had to really encourage me to do this since I absolutely HATE packing for anything! So right now we are basically just enjoying our last few relaxing weeks/weekends together and waiting for his arrival whenever he decides he's going to make his appearance. I'm sure I'll have one more belly picture to post once I reach the end and of course we'll have pictures of the big day. We'll also post some of his room once we get it all situated and ready. Ok so I'm done rambling now...STAY TUNED!
