7 months old!

As of yesterday we now have a 7 month old...a silly, army crawling 7 month old! We celebrated today by staying home in our jammies (snow day from work). Kane just keeps getting bigger and keeps accomplishing more feats. He's still a littler chatter box but if we ever try to get him to repeat "mama" or "dada" he just smiles at us like he knows exactly what we want but he's not going to do it! He is army crawling around like crazy! Anything that is NOT one of his toys is stuff that he wants to get into...and he's fast! He'll get on his hands and knees every once and a while but prefers being on his tummy. He also can sit on his own, very briefly though as he is always on the go so sitting still very long is not one of his favorites.
We are happy to say that he is not a very picky eater...hopefully it stays that way! He still is not a very big fan of peas but we still try them every so often. This past weekend at the Rhoten Christmas he attempted to try "puffs" but he just gagged and made faces which is funny because I thought all kids loved those things! BUT, just last night we tried them again and he ended up liking them! He has a little trouble getting them into his mouth by himself, but with a little help he does well eating them. Kane loves to play with all of his toys but has recently discovered playing underneath his exer-saucer and jumperoo. Looks like tents and forts will be a favorite at some point in time. He is such a happy little boy and it's very easy to make him smile and laugh. There is never a dull moment, even when he's sleeping (sometimes we'll catch him sleeping with his butt up in the air! I still have yet to catch a picture of this!).
Anyway, just wanted to post a quick update. Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season! Enjoy some pictures!
